One thing that many newlyweds look forward to is that all inclusive honeymoon where they can kick back, get a massage, order a few drinks and have all their whims and desires fulfilled at a moment’s notice. They imagine lounging around the beach of that first-class resort or being out on the deck of a luxury liner where they can call room service in the middle of the night if they want and have a waiter with white gloves bring them their drink on a silver tray. After all, that’s what it means to have an all inclusive honeymoon, right?
Before you sign on the dotted line when it comes to that resort or cruise, there are some cautions that you need to consider about a so-called all inclusive honeymoon.
First of all, an all inclusive honeymoon really doesn’t mean that you’re provided anything you want at any time. All such packages have limits on the things that are provided and normally exclude such things as alcoholic drinks, massages and other spa services, sessions with a personal trainer, gambling money for the casino and things such as this. There may also be some restrictions on when you can call for items from the kitchen and schedule other services from the spa and such. Remember, an all inclusive honeymoon isn’t truly all inclusive, otherwise customers would be expecting souvenirs for free, would be drinking all hours of the day and night and would be overloading the schedule of the masseuse.
When you are shopping around for any type of package for your honeymoon, keep in mind that these types of restrictions should be clearly outlined for you. This means that you should be prepared ahead of time for what you can and cannot expect during your trip. The term all inclusive honeymoon is something of a marketing ploy and shouldn’t be taken literally. The paperwork that you sign when purchasing tickets on a cruise ship or to that luxury resort should have it all spelled out for you.
So if an all inclusive honeymoon isn’t really all inclusive, why consider this option? Well, keep in mind that even though you’re not going to have every single thing you want included in your purchase price, you are going to have almost everything you want. This means that when you’re ready for dinner, rather than run around trying to find a restaurant you can simply visit the buffet of the cruise ship or hotel. Many room service options are also included so there’s no need to hit a vending machine when you want a snack. You can also get a massage if you want, for a small fee. A cruise that advertises as an all inclusive honeymoon normally includes entertainment such as shows, comedians, magicians and so on. This means no hunting down a local theater or figuring out what you’re going to do during the day. So there are many reasons to consider an all inclusive honeymoon even though they may not actually include everything you think they might.

We had a chance to go all inclusive for our honeymoon but I’m so glad we didn’t. The hotel we stayed at was terrific but their food was just horrible! It would have been a real waste of money to have gone all inclusive.
